Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you do gift cards?
A: Yes we do. They come in any amount that you want to put on them so if you really want to make a card for someone that has $16.41 on it you can do that.
Q: Do you fill growlers?
A: Yes, at our Hillard location we have a four-tap system and have howlers (half-growlers) for purchase or you can bring in your own and save the $5 howler cost.
Q: Do you do tastings?
A: We do! Make sure to get signed up on our email list and/or watch our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for the lastest in tasting dates and times.
Q: How do I find out about limited release beers like Three Floyds?
Q: Can I get on your list to reserve Founders KBS or some other rare beer?
A: No. We don't do lists. Everything is first come first served. It's the most fair way and it helps prevent the same people from getting those hard-to-get beers over and over again. We are all about fairness and we want as many people as possible to try those harder to come by beers.
Q: Why won't you release some of your rare beers, like Founders KBS, on the same day everyone else gets and releases theirs?
A: It's a technique we use to help cut down on truck chasers. I'd rather have a person who's always wanted to try a rare beer get that opportunity to drink it over having someone who's got the time to collect as much as they can get from around town so they can turn around and trade it away.
Q: Can you get "______" from "_______" brewery in Columbus?
A: That depends. We are happy to look into it for you and if they distribute to Ohio we'd be happy to help you score some. Oftentimes for small, local breweries they don't have the distribution capabilities for Ohio. But it never hurts to ask!
Q: Do you sell kegs?
A: While we don't normally stock kegs, almost anything we have in the store can be purchased as a keg as long as it's below 6-barrel size. There will be a refundable deposit of $60 to go along with your keg purchase that you get back when you bring back the keg.
Q: Why is your keg fee so high?
A: One of the many struggles that local brewers have is getting their kegs back. Kegs cost well over $120 and they aren't all that easy to get. We, therefore, post a higher deposit to ensure that they can get their kegs back and continue with business as usual rather than spending their money to replace missing kegs as opposed to making more beer for us to drink.
Q: Can you host a tasting at my house?
A: Yes we can! Click the tab at the top of the menu titled Private Tastings for more information.
