Saturday December 14th - Mike's Weird Christmas Beer Tasting
This is the last of four different Christmas beer tastings we are doing so we may as well go out on a bang. Mike will be putting together an odd lineup of holiday weirdness, beers that call themselves "Christmas Beers" but are not what most people thing of when talking about Christmas beers. This is not the same Tool one as on the other side of town. This is a completely different one so come on in and warm up with what Mike can dish out. Lineup: Scaldis Noel, Fantome Hiver 2018, Le Trou du Diable La Grivoise de Noel, Tool One Ton of Christmas 2018, Trois Dames Winter Sour Ale, De Dolle Stille Nacht Riserva, Rogue Santa's Reserve, Smisje Smiske Kerst, Schloss Eggenberg Samichlaus Schwarz.
Wednesday December 18th - Year End Tasting for Hilliard
Every year we try to put something very rare and special together to end the year of tastings on a high note. We aim to create a tasting that you will talk about for years to come and remember fondly as something very special. For Hilliard we put together a very special tasting that we hope will live up to that standard for you. We are doing a SchneiderWeisse Aventinus/Aventinus Cuvee Barique vertical tasting. Aventinus is a world-renowned Doppelbock perfect for cellaring. We will have a 2019, 2015, 2013 and 2011 vertical of that beer. Plus an amazing sour version called Cuvee Barique that's one of the better sours made in the world. We will have a 2018, 2017, 2016 and 2015 of that beer along with a 2017 Eisbock Barique because why not? Only 24 tickets for this one. Bring. A. Driver.
Friday December 13th - Mike's Weird Christmas Tool Beer Tasting
Every year Mike has been doing these odd, off-the-beaten-path Christmas beer tastings that are a perfect example of what Crafted Drafts is all about: an eclectic assortment of beers with tons of knowledge to explain them all. We are doing two of these this year but both will be quite different. The one in Gahanna is going to come from a tearing a couple of the Tool Advent Calendar boxes apart. You could get one of 3 possible tastings but you won't know what you're getting until you're in it. It is reccomended that you bring two friends in addition to yourself for the maximum experience but it's not required. There are three possible tastings so if you bring two others as well as yourself you have the possibility of experiencing the whole calendar. It's not a big deal if you don't have a party of three, two or one is fine. Beer is fun no matter what.
Tursday December 19th - Year End Tasting for Gahanna
This year's final tasting bash will be one you tell your grandkids about. To our knowledge no one has done one of these before in Ohio or America for that matter. We are going to do a vertical of an amazing beer from Swiss brfewry BFM called Abbaye de Saint Bon-Chien. This is one of those beers that real rare beer collectors hunt for and celler for special occasions. This vertical starts in 2017 and goes 2016, 2015, 2014, 2012 (there's no 2013) plus we'll put in a 2017 Grand Cru version and, because we really like you all, Brut des Franches. If you're not familiar with any of these offerings don't worry, these beers are rare enough that almost no one knows what they are save for some of the luckiest people on earth. Happy New Year and thank you for all of your support.
